  • - Rye crackers of 900 g;
  • - Fresh or yeast powder of 20 grams;
  • - Sugar one glass;
  • - Raisin of 70 g;
  • - Water 3 liters

Instruction

1. On sale it is possible to meet the ready ground rye crackers intended for preparation of kvass, but it is possible to prepare them also. For this purpose a rye bread needs to be dried in an oven, then it is necessary to wet them in enough boiled water and to leave for insisting for 4-5 hours in the warm place.

2. After that to filter solution through a sieve, to pour in the yeast which is in advance dissolved in water, to pour all norm of sugar, raisin, to mix before full dissolution and to leave at the room temperature at 12-14 hours.

3. Then kvass should be filtered, poured in glass jars and to put in a cold spot for insisting. It is possible to drink kvass 48 hours later.

4. After you merged kvass, there will be a dense weight from crackers, it can quite be used for preparation of the subsequent batches of drink as ferment.
