Having peeled orange, as a rule, crusts are thrown out in a garbage can. And in vain. In a dried peel of a citrus there are not less vitamins, than in the fruit. From an orange peel it is possible to prepare the mass of tasty and useful dishes.

Instruction

1. The dried peel of a citrus can be added to various drinks. For example, crush couple of crusts by means of the coffee grinder and add to a scalded teapot together with tea. Fill in with boiled water and let's infuse. Very fragrant and useful drink will turn out. In the same way it is possible to add a dried peel to compotes or cocktails.

2. Home-made "Fanta" will perfectly satisfy thirst. Fill in 5-6 fresh or dried orange-peels with 3 liters of boiled water and let's infuse day. Then filter future drink, put on average fire and bring to the boil. Rasp crusts or miss via the meat grinder and fill in with the turned-out hot solution. Leave for day. Later add 2 kg of sugar and juice of a half of a lemon. Boil syrup, cool and filter. Before giving on a table part it to taste with the cooled aerated table water.

3. The dried crushed crusts of a citrus – excellent fragrance for rich pastries. Add a small amount of such ingredient to dough, it will impact to fancy bread pleasant aroma and relish.

4. Also from an orange peel it is possible to prepare candied fruits. For this purpose fill in fresh crusts with cold water. Draw them within 2 days. At the same time 2 times a day change water. Then fill in crusts with fresh water, put on average fire. After boiling you cook future candied fruits within 15 minutes. Further drain water and wash out crusts under cold water.

5. Cut them on small strips, about 0.5 cm wide. Prepare syrup from 2 glasses of sugar and a glass of water. Bring it to the boil, then lower in it candied fruits. You cook on slow fire until the peel becomes transparent. In a couple of minutes until ready add a little lemon juice. After that candied fruits need to be cast away on a colander that all liquid flew down. Strew ready crusts with granulated sugar or dry a little in an oven. Candied fruits can be given as sweeties to tea, to decorate with them cakes and cakes, to use as a stuffing for pies.

6. Try dried crusts as seasoning to second courses. Crush a peel into powder, mix with salt and a fragrant black pepper. Such seasoning will give juicy notes to meat, fish and vegetable dishes.
