The natural source from which "Perrier" is got was found in the small village of Vergeze in the south of France. Thanks to Harmswort's efforts this mineral water became known not only in the European countries, but also in the British colonies. In 1908 at the international exhibition in London water under the Perrier brand received the Grand Prix that for the first time marked its world recognition. But after sale World War II sharply fell, and the Hamsvorta company began to sustain losses. In 1947 it was saved from ruin by the stockbroker Gustave Levene who managed to modernize production and even to begin supply of water to the USA thanks to what affairs of the company took a turn for the better again and sales increased. In 1992 the Perrier trademark passed to the world famous company Nestle which continued its successful development. Now this water is drunk in 150 countries of the world. The Perrier brand is very well-known also among fans of tennis. The water produced under these the name is official drink of the Roland Garros tournament.
