Curtains are capable to completely change the image of the room, to give it cosiness and to protect from bright sunlight and from views of strangers. There is huge variety of curtains, but often in shop are on sale only standard sets and suitable coloring it is simply impossible to pick up sometimes. Of course, it is possible to order tailoring of curtains in specialized studio, but also in this case there is essential shortcoming — high working costs. Exit — to sew them the hands.

1. Determine the necessary length of curtain. To make it without mistake, it is necessary to hang up eaves, and then to measure distance from hooks to desirable length, for example, to floor if it is curtains to the living room or the bedroom. On kitchen usually do curtains to windowsill or a little below it. To the received size add 10 cm on podgibka from below and from above products.
2. Choose suitable coloring and material for production of curtains. They have to correspond to style of your interior, to be in tone to walls, upholstered furniture or, on the contrary, to become bright color spot.
3. Buy fabric cut for curtains equal to measure of their length if you are going to sew one curtain, or equal to two lengths if they are two. If you sew one curtain, then it is not necessary to find anything if two - put cut in half and cut on 2 equal parts. Cut off edges on both parties of cloth. Do it, having put material on smooth plain surface, you should not cut "on weight" as it is possible to spoil material easily.
4. Turn in the lower cut of curtain on inner side of fabric on 1 cm, iron bend. Then turn in on 4 cm and once again iron bend. Stitch on the sewing machine.
5. Turn in 2 times curtain sides on 1-1.5 cm and stitch on the machine. Press seams.
6. Very beautifully and accurately curtains which edges are processed by slanting inlay look. Pick up it in tone of material or contrast shade. Put in half, turn in cuts inside on 3-5 mm and iron. Enclose side cuts of curtain in inlay and tack it, then stitch on the machine, at the same time try that the line was as it is possible more exactly. Remove basting.
7. Unbend the upper edge on inner side on 5 cm. Apply curtain tape. Turn in edges of tape on inner side and pin it to curtain tailor's pins. Sew curtain tape on all 4 parties, line have at distance of 1-2 mm from edge.
8. Pull together curtain tape up to the desirable width of finished product and hang up blind on eaves, previously having ironed it. Add original parts, for example, make beautiful pickups or sew lace or brushes.
