1. Redigging of the earth. For the normal growth of plants the soil has to be friable, damp, but not rehumidified, with sufficient reserve of various fertilizers. Begin redigging in the early spring. If the soil has been dug up since fall, its processing will not bring special trouble. Dig over the heavy soil shovel. And for processing of the easy soil use pitchfork with wide teeths. Advantage of pitchfork is that them it is easy to break earth lumps. Besides, by means of pitchfork you do not turn out the fertilizers dug since fall from under the earth. Consider that it is necessary to dig over the soil in the spring when it has already well dried up and does not stick to the tool.
2. Alignment and loosening. After redigging the soil usually a little damp as its deep layers are lifted. Before leveling it rake, wait a little: the soil has to dry up. Further with the help grabel level the earth, break earth stones, create beds. Carry out scarification by means of various cultivators: pyatizuby ripper, pitchfork mattocks, normal mattock. You loosen the earth moderately: on depth of 2-3 cm. In the way paved thus it is already possible to plant seeds of plants.
3. Removal of weeds. At the first alignment and scarification do not forget to remove all backs and weed plants. It is especially convenient to get rid of weeds in the course of loosening. At moderate loosening no more than 2-3 cm in depth all weeds get off and cut and also their shoots are destroyed. You watch closely removal of rhizomes of weeds, otherwise shortly weed plants will sprout again. Try to delete weeds before they develop powerful root system. If you do not sow any allotment within several years, every year in the spring just harrow it. It thins rhizomes of weeds. Keep in mind that it is the easiest to take weed plants from the damp earth.
4. Application of fertilizers. Before landing of plants to the soil it is necessary to introduce fertilizers. And first of all, organic: compost, manure, humus. As a rule, manure and compost is brought in the earth in the fall, and humus - in the spring. Sometimes there are exceptions. Standard norm of introduction of organic fertilizers - one bucket on cubic meter. Ways of application of fertilizers different. Put them on groove bottom when redigging or evenly scatter on surface, and later dig over the earth. In the absence of organic fertilizers, replace them mineral.
