How to paint molding

To create the necessary mood in interior, it is not obligatory to take down all walls at all or to spread skin of bison on floor. Correctly picked up color of molding can be that part which will give to the room severe looking or respectability of palace hall.

It is required to you

  • - polyurethane moldings;
  • - primer of deep penetration on acrylic basis;
  • - paint for moldings;
  • - decorative plaster;
  • - brush or palette.

Instruction

1. Pick up are necessary color. Initial color of polyurethane which seems white on polotka will look slightly gray. To receive dairy color, add to white paint of a little yellow. The experienced decorating reception is mixture of white paint with the color close to basic color of walls. Moldings can quite be contrast color, emphasizing border between walls and ceiling.

2. Prepare molding for painting. All decorative elements have to be already pasted to wall or ceiling. Polyurethane moldings will badly keep on wall-paper or the painted walls therefore they should be attached before starting further decorative processing of walls. Process all joints special glue and examine surface on availability of scratches and hollows. Even small roughnesses will become noticeable after putting paint. Process all chips plaster on acrylic basis.

3. Apply primer of deep penetration on acrylic basis. Polyurethane belongs to cellular materials therefore before painting all time needs to be filled: then paint will smoothly lay down on basis, and further moldings can be wiped with damp rag.

4. Paint moldings. For this purpose it is possible to use aqueous emulsion, latex or acrylic inks. The mosaic paints representing water-based normal paints with addition of insoluble firm particles and pigments allow to reach interesting effect. What more densely applies paint on molding, the surface becomes that relyefny.

5. Cover molding by means of decorative plaster. For polyurethane decorative elements it is better to choose coverings with effect of nacre or gilding. Apply plaster by means of the small palette or brush with cross movements so that the tool left relief marks on surface. The molding is wider, the more thickly there can be layer.
