Initially God has created our world clean and perfect. However after fall everything has exchanged. The person himself has distorted life model. And now it is impossible to tell about one thing created by human hands that it is good. Somehow to improve this situation, to enclose part spiritual in material, orthodox Christians try to consecrate things, significant for them.
Instruction
1. It is important to remember that dedication service of any thing not the most important. The basic is thoughts which will be born at the same time in the head of the person. Without clean thoughts holding this sacrament becomes senseless.
2. Consecration is especially appreciated by the water gathered on holiday of the Baptism of the Lord among Orthodox Christians. It is considered that it is capable to expel evil spirits, to clean from filth, to bring tranquility to the house.
3. For the first time only the priest has to consecrate the apartment. Only after that, if it is required, the owner can make sacrament.
4. Before arrival of the priest purely clean the room, switch off loud music and the TV. Release table in one of rooms and cover it with cloth. There the father will place attributes for commission of ceremony. If in the apartment still there are no icons, they should be hung up. Shrines in "place of honor", near window which comes to the East fasten.
5. Explain to all surrounding that the sacrament is made. If someone opposes to consecration, let will leave the room. The others have to exempt the heads from sinful thoughts and say prayers. Ask people to treat this procedure, as something extremely important and valuable to yourself and people around.
6. The priest will pour a little holy water into bowl. Moving on all rooms and saying prayers, he will sprinkle with water corners and walls. It is not obligatory to go for the father all family at all. Allocate him the attendant, and the others let will sit quietly in one of rooms.
7. If the apartment has been already consecrated by the father, the owner can repeat ceremony independently. This not only its right, but also the duty given by sacred church. Only the water consecrated in the temple will be suitable for this purpose. Brush from beads or handful, crosswisely, spray apartment walls.
