How to unscrew bulb

Its burn-out is the most common cause of change of bulb. In this case it is very important to unscrew old lamp correctly, otherwise it is possible to receive electric shock or even serious trauma.

  • - flat-nose pliers;
  • - points.

Instruction

1. Before change of old bulb surely switch off electricity. It concerns not only that room where there is fused subject, but also all house. It is the best of all to turn out safety plugs at once or to switch-off the time cut-out. If not to make it, quite possibly to receive electric shock.

2. If the fused bulb is under plafond, at first remove it. Most often it fastens on small springs and it is rather simple to pull it up. Sometimes plafonds are fixed by bolts. In this case turn off them the screw-driver. When the bulb is located in the surface recessed lighting fitting, take out it, having pulled from one and other edge. If does not give in – pick up edges any sharp object. Then, if the bulb is not damaged, just unscrew it hand, having put on fabric glove hand.

3. In case the bulb has blown up and residues of glasses stick out of it, do not touch barehanded at all. At first put on some glasses to protect the eyes from possible splinters. And on hands – gloves from any dense matter.

4. Put on transparent plastic bag what remained from lighting. It will allow to avoid the splinters scattered on all room. Pick up flat-nose pliers with the thin ends and the accurate movement hook them on edge of socle. Unscrew the remains from bulb, rotating flat-nose pliers counterclockwise.

5. If the socle does not give in to twisting, it can be soldered to cartridge contacts as a result of melting. Do not try to unscrew it independently. It will be safest to use services of the electrician.

6. When the boss is badly fixed in the chandelier body, the bulb can turn together with it. In this case when twisting bulb accurately record it fingers of free hand.
