Strawberry is called the musky or muscat wild strawberry, and wild strawberry garden – pineapple wild strawberry. Both these berries are perennial grassy plants which belong to the sort Family Wild Strawberry Pink. Despite external similarity, it is two absolutely different berries which besides have different names according to the biological nomenclature.
Many gardeners call wild strawberry the wild-growing wild berry and garden grades having the small extended berries. The grades having large fruits are considered to be strawberry. But it is not absolutely correct. The fact is that still in ancient times strawberry it was accepted to call only one of types of wild strawberry which berries differed in rounded shape and reminded potatoes tubers. After emergence of large-fruited grades of wild strawberry which are now grown up almost everywhere this name has passed also to them. Upon strawberry represents rather seldom found look, and all that is grown up on garden sites, it would be more correct to call garden wild strawberry.
Differences in the structure of plants
Strawberry differs from wild strawberry, first of all, in stalk height. At the first berry it makes from 25 to 35 cm, and at the second – 20-25 cm. As for flowers of these plants, it should be noted that at strawberry they same-sex while at wild strawberry – oboyepoly. Plants and on color of leaves differ: at strawberry they lighter and slightly corrugated. If to speak about consumer characteristics of both berries, they differ very insignificantly. Both strawberry, and wild strawberry contain a number of useful substances and vitamins. So, as a part of berries there are vitamins A, In, E, RR, biotin. And on the content of vitamin C of berry concede unless to currant. Regular consumption of strawberry and wild strawberry in food promotes strengthening of immunity, improvement of work of digestive system, cleaning of organism and delay of process of aging.
