Instruction
1. Prepare necessary tools, perfect the pencil and a slate pencil inserted into school compasses. Make sure that the square of the size necessary for you, will be located on the prepared sheet of paper.
2. Take a ruler and with its help draw a straight line of AV which length is equal to the party of that square which you need to draw. Draw the line, having receded on 1 cm from the sheet edge of paper, approximately parallel to it.
3. Now take compasses. Place its needle in a point And, and the slate pencil edge – in a point In, thus, distance between his legs will be equal to length of the party of a square. Otchertite to them an arch length several centimeters, having restored mentally a perpendicular from a point A. Zatem transfer an edge to a point In and you otchertit the same arch over it, do not shift a leg of compasses, the distance between them has to be still equal to length of the party of a square - AV.
4. Make small arithmetic calculation to determine the unknown diameter of a square, knowing length of its party. Use Pythagorean theorem. For this purpose square length of the party of AV, increase by two and take a square root from the received value. Or increase value of length of the party of a square of AV by a root square of 2. It is equal to 1.414.
5. Postpone compasses the received value of diagonal of a square on a ruler. Establish a needle edge in a point And yes you otchertit a small arch over a point In, it has to be crossed with that arch which you drew earlier. It is a point of D. Then transfer a compasses needle edge to a point In and you otchertit an arch over a point And. The Page point will be crossing of two arches.
6. To draw a square with diagonals, just connect consistently points And, With, D and V.U you turned out a geometrical figure – an ideal square with the right angles and four parties equal each other.
