Many face a problem of purification of diesel fuel of mechanical particles. The grid filter used during filling of the fuel tanks is capable to detain particles more than 80 microns in size. Particles of the smaller size easily pass through a grid filter of the fuel tank, thereby hammering fuel filters of the diesel.
Instruction
1. One of ways of purification of diesel fuel is filtration. It protects from firm particles of dust which get into the fuel tank at its opening. Existence of particles of dust can become the reason of malfunctions of the diesel as they litter openings and channels of the spray of a nozzle therefore in the combustion chamber the insufficient fuel quantity moves, and engine capacity decreases. After cleaning with filtration the efficiency of combustion of fuel increases, so, engine capacity will be higher, fuel is spent more economically.
2. The filter consists of the filtering element and the case. The filtering element is made of special paper, synthetic fiber or cellulose. Some filters are capable to detain both firm particles, and a part of the water which is contained in fuel. During operation you watch that the filter was not overflowed with water, otherwise water completely will block it, and bypassing the filter the crude fuel will begin to flow. It is important to pick up correctly the filter depending on the size of particles, otherwise the filter will not execute the functions.
3. One of types of filtration – separation. This way of cleaning is applicable at strongly polluted diesel fuel. Separators allow to remove foreign substances from fuel even if their concentration very high. At application of separation the method of office of water and firm particles in the centrifuge, their subsequent collecting at the bottom of the case of cleaner, and filtration through special paper with special impregnation is used. Such equipment expensive is also used, as a rule, at large enterprises with fuel consumption more than 150 t a month.
4. For independent purification of diesel fuel it is possible to use the special additives interfering coking up of nozzles, formation of a deposit on pistons and walls of the combustion chamber, on glow plugs. The active formula of diesel additives, depending on the appointment, allows to force out the water which got to fuel and also interferes with increase in cetane number and jelling of fuel.
