How to receive current

To receive current, create electric field in substance in which there are free charges (in the conductor). For this purpose take a source of current and attach to it conductors. For designing of a chemical source of current (galvanic cell) take a half-liter can, two conductors (copper and zinc) and fill in it with solution of copper vitriol. Also current it is possible to teach from the thermogenerator or the conductor moving in variation magnetic field.

  • Take a copper wire and a zinc plate, copper vitriol, the conductor, a permanent magnet and the thermocouple.

Instruction

1. Receiving current by means of a galvanic cell Take a glass half-liter jar. Bend a copper wire so that the spiral with the long end was formed. A spiral put banks on a bottom, and remove the end of a wire outside. Fill up copper vitriol in bank and fill in it with the distilled water. From above close a cover in which the zinc plate is built in so that it plunged into solution, but did not concern a copper wire. Attach the voltmeter to a conclusion of a zinc plate and a copper wire. It will show presence of EMF within 1 Volta. It is possible to attach the small consumer of the electric power, for example, the tiny radio receiver.

2. Receiving current by means of the thermogenerator Take iron and constantan conductors and solder their ends. Turn on the ampermeter in any of conductors. Heat one of having soldered while leave the second with a temperature which is equal to room. The ampermeter will show existence of electric current. To increase thermogenerator power, it is possible to connect several such thermocouples in parallel.

3. Receiving current in a variable magnetic polevozmit the coil with the conductor, attach the voltmeter to its ends. Bring a strip permanent magnet in the coil, then sharply take out it from the coil. The voltmeter will show presence of EMF, therefore on the conductor the electric current will go. It is possible to make the return action. Fix a strip magnet on a support, bring to it the coil, then begin to move it. The voltmeter will show that in the conductor there was an EMF. To increase current in the conductor, it is necessary to take more powerful magnet or to make the movement with big acceleration. Also it is possible to achieve increase of EMF, increasing quantity of rounds in the coil. The dependence is directly proportional: increase quantity of rounds twice, EMF will increase twice too.
