What vital forms of plants

The vital form of plants is meant as appearance of any given group of plants which resulted from adaptation to environmental conditions. In the most general view it is possible to allocate wood plants, semi-wood and herbs.

Instruction

1. Treat wood plants: trees, bushes and low shrubs. Trees possess well developed main trunk covered with wood. On considerable removal from the Earth's surface the krone is formed of branches of a trunk that allows a tree to catch light effectively. The main trunk has sleeping kidneys of which trunks in case of damage of the main thing can be formed. Life expectancy of some trees can reach one thousand years, and height – hundred meters.

2. Distinctive feature of bushes – existence of several lignified stalks. In the first years of life still there is the main trunk, but the sleeping kidneys become more active later. Life expectancy of bushes seldom reaches hundred years, averaging about 15. At low shrubs the main axis is almost not expressed, it is replaced with side axes. The set of the branching skeletal axes is as a result formed. During plant life these axes constantly are replaced. Height of low shrubs reaches a half a meter maximum, life expectancy – up to 10 years.

3. It is possible to distinguish semi-bushes and semi-low shrubs from semi-wood plants. On the characteristics they are close to similar wood plants, however a considerable part of escape remains grassy, then dies off. As a result there is a wood skeleton which anew acquires escapes. Semi-wood grow mainly in droughty areas.

4. Herbs are land and water. Carry polikarpichesky and monokarpichesky herbs to land. Polikarpichesky herbs long-term, on bodies of a stalk or roots are available for them specialized kidneys. New escapes which life expectancy makes not less than a year are formed of these kidneys. Polikarpichesky herbs can repeatedly blossom, unlike monokarpichesky. Monokarpicheskiye are long-term, but after blossoming and fructification die off. They have no ability to renewal.

5. Amphibious, floating and underwater herbs belong to water herbs. Amphibia are capable to form both a land, and water form. They often have a combination of land and water bodies. They can comfortably exist in the marshland and transfer short droughts. Floating and underwater herbs grow only in water. They are attached to a bottom, freely are located in thickness or on a water surface.
