As a rule, parrots of a korell are bought at even early age when it is almost impossible to establish sex. But there is a number of the techniques allowing to reveal sexual characters of baby birds in certain time. About it experienced ornithologists know well.

1. Wait for the moment when the baby bird is three and a half months old. At this time males begin to sing loudly, practising in a vocal for two weeks. They should be marked at once as other signs will not be observed about half a year.
2. At the age of six-eight months the parrots of a korell have a molt. As a result plumage of males gets brighter color tone, and females are distinguished on more roundish contours of a body and quiet character. But it is frequent and at such moments to know a sex of a parrot of a korell very difficult.
3. Authentically it is possible to distinguish a male from a female when they reach age of one year. Males become the real handsome men with a bright yellow fluffy cop on the head and the dark peaked wings marked with white ovals. The body of a parrot gets a pearl and steel shade, on cheeks orange specks are allocated. Plumage of females has dusty gray color. Only on inside of wings it is possible to notice light yellow spots and strips. Cheeks are less ruddy, than at males.
4. At the moment there are several color variations of parrots of a korell – white, pearl, yellow, motley and others. Depending on it each look has the signs defining sex. For example, it is possible to know a sex of a parrot of a korell of white color to the first molt. During this period of a female have slightly yellowish plumage, occasionally wings are covered with light specks. Males often have more expressed flush on cheeks.
5. Try to know a sex of a parrot of a korell on behavior. As a rule, "boys" are more mobile also shumliva, often like to knock a beak on something. "Girls" are quieter, like to have a sleep.
