Why parrots talk

Why parrots talk

The ability of parrots to talk always surprised and pleased people. Many heard from the pet the words of a greeting or other scraps of phrases more than once, but as he learned it is for many remains a riddle.

The question how parrots learned to talk interests many? Perhaps, these abilities also are direct proofs that these birds are able to think and understand? Unfortunately no. The ability of parrots to pronounce separate words or phrases does not belong to their mental capacities at all. They just reproduce what they were trained by people in or what was heard once accidentally.

In the wild nature, as well as all other representatives of birds, parrots communicate among themselves on the "bird's language". When they get to people, begin to imitate sounds which are heard around themselves, that is – the human speech. But all the same this question is raised by the sea of interest therefore, there is a mass of the assumptions and theories today. According to opinion of most of biologists the parrots talk purely mechanically. But all the same it is possible to call their such ability outstanding, the majority of birds repeat nothing at all. Some consider that parrots can talk thanks to big and thick language which something is similar to human language. But this statement raises doubts, at hawks or falcons the structure of language same, as well as at a parrot, but they for some reason are silent, and some bird species with small language (for example, a tropical starling) it is possible quickly enough to teach to pronounce separate words. One more popular belief is the assumption of the fact that the human and bird's speech (in our case of parrots) is similar among themselves. For this reason it is simple and easy for multi-colored pet to imitate scraps of a human conversation or a word from a favourite song. It is quite possible that with development of science the scientists will give irrefragable answer on a question of why parrots reproduce the human speech. However today definite answer does not exist, there are only versions.
