In spite of the fact that games is the leading activity of children's age, role-playing game as a method of training it is very popular when training candidates for senior positions, the acting heads and other staff of the companies.

Subject role-playing game – the dynamic method of training providing both reconstruction of various situations, and the subsequent their analysis. Forms of role-playing games happen the most various – from simple outgaming of daily circumstances prior to the whole fancy-dress fights and representations. The last forms, by the way, not always serve any training purpose, sometimes they are used only for unity of collective or entertainments.

Role-playing games in training are necessary for stimulation of personal growth of people, development of communicative and strong-willed qualities, ability to achieve the objective. In certain cases role-playing games are capable to replace psychotherapy sessions as in both cases at the personality identical psychological reactions are born. Besides, subject role-playing games always contribute to the development of imagination, creativity, mental flexibility.

Training in subject role-playing game will be organized by the trainer and pursues one or several of the possible purposes:

  • demonstration and display of a situation from within – the employee who visited an appearance someone another begins to understand better it;
  • training in reception – the method of role-playing game is necessary for working off in practice of some actions, for example, of a way of cooperation with the difficult client;
  • skill training – at realization of this purpose certain skills, for example, - the managements of group are formed that is important for recently appointed manager;
  • sensitization – increase in sensitivity in a certain situation.

Tasks of the trainer include not only the organization and dynamic support of a game, but also control of observance of rules and laws, information support of groups, regulation of emergency situations.

The final stage of role-playing game is the detailed analysis. The trainer has to explain to players of the aim which he pursued and to find out whether they were reached. For this purpose each participant gives a personal assessment of a game, tells about own actions. If in the course of the game there were conflicts – the trainer needs to analyze their reasons taking into account all opinions and factors. Therefore it is recommended to carry out the analysis in the presence of all participating and after players calm down.
