Instruction
1. Buy alginate. It can be done in specialized shops which trade in medical equipment – usually it is used in stomatology for production moldsof teeth, a jaw. Three-phase alginate quickly stiffens and after hardening changes color. Paint will be necessary at the final stage of production of a mold. You can get ready sets for production of plaster casts. Instead of alginate it is possible to use usual dough.
2. Prepare alginate solution. Take the plastic capacity suitable by the size (better if it is rather big), pour water there and pour alginate (1:1.5). Well stir mix, before full dissolution use the mixer. Wait until bubbles fall down (it is possible to knock with ware on a table). As alginate quickly stiffens, all preparatory manipulations should be done very quickly.
3. If you use dough, then knead structure from flour, salt, water and vegetable oil – weight has to be liquid, it needs to be boiled on fire within three minutes.
4. If the small child, then is better to remove a mold while he sleeps – the kid will not pull the handle, and you will be able to make it quickly. The grown-up child can be interested and in advance to explain why it is necessary to lower the handle in solution. Take the handle of the kid and lower in alginate solution or flour structure – take him in weight not less than a minute. This time is enough in order that solution stiffened and gained rubber consistence. As soon as it ceases to stick to a hand, it is possible to consider that solution is ready and preparation turned out. Take out a hand accurately not to tear a form.
5. Dissolve plaster in water. Prepare warm water and fill up in it plaster powder, stirring to consistence of liquid paste. Fill in plaster in the prepared form from alginate and wait until plaster stiffens.
6. Accurately separate a plaster cast from the stuck weight, deleting separate parts. Zashkurte a plaster mold, having processed it a small emery paper. Fix the plaster handle on a support, cover it with decorative paint and decorate with amusing inscriptions and drawings.
