In the Indian system of knowledge of healthy life and the factors interfering or promoting improvement of a human body – "Ayurveda", health directly contacts vital energy and depends on it. The vital energy, in turn depends on many factors including from what products you eat. Some of them take away from you energy, and some, on the contrary, give you it.

Products are sources of vital energy

It is necessary to understand that the vital energy and caloric content are absolutely different things. The most high-calorie products, as a rule, aren't really useful, and here those from them which are power sources, are useful undoubtedly. For them in "Ayurveda" there is even a special definition, they are called "sattvichesky".

In this category berries, fruit and vegetables belong, first of all. And, it is absolutely unimportant how they are used – in the raw or after heat treatment, the most important that they were fresh. In the baked or boiled look these products can even be more useful, than in crude as they are digested easier and the minerals containing in them are acquired better.

In the food giving energy also a dairy products belongs. Whole boiled milk and melted butter is considered the most power-intensive. Besides, energy can be received from wheat and products on its basis: porridges from whole grains, chiselly breads, bran, pasta from firm grades of this cereal.

Clear water which needs to be gathered in the natural sources excluding its pollution by harmful impurities will help to preserve energy.

The vital energy contains in honey which, according to "Ayurveda", concentrate in themselves energy of the sun, unrefined olive oil of a cold extraction, bean cultures: lentil, chick-pea, haricot and peas.

The food which is taking away energy

All which contain toxins and a putrefactive bacteria belong to the products vampires which are taking away energy which are called "tamasichesky". These are, for example, stale, old and fermented – a salted-fermented and brined vegetables, the matured cheeses and also those products which are received as a result of someone's death – meat, fish, eggs. Not especially "Ayurveda" and root crops, except for carrots and beet favors and also those from them that they grow and ripen underground: garlic, onions and mushrooms.

The basic rule for saving of energy is to exclude overeating that the organism didn't spend the forces for processing of excess products and their warehousing in a fat stock.

If you want to preserve the vital energy, refuse consumption of refined sugar, coffee and alcohol though they also add forces, but such power charge very quickly comes to an end and after it there is a feeling of fatigue. And, of course, genetically modified their ingredients and also all artificial additives, dyes and preservatives belong to harmful, "tamasichesky" products.
