We choose the place for crops

Grooves should not be too deep, otherwise seeds can not sprout. And small grooves will not be able to protect sunflower seeds from strong wind gusts.
That carrots have grown large and sweet, regularly weed the soil as weeds perniciously influence development of root crops.
