When laying ceramic tile inevitably you face need to cut it on part to fill all space. Especially many difficulties are brought by figured cutting of ceramic tile as demands not only availability of tools, but also big care.
It is required to you
- - container with water;
- - pencil or marker;
- - ruler or template;
- - glass-cutter;
- - mechanical plitkorez;
- - electric plitkorez;
- - Bulgarian (grinder);
- - nippers;
- - flat-nose pliers;
- - hacksaw with diamond string;
- - file or abrasive paper.
Instruction
1. Before work lower tile in water and leave at several o'clock. The longer the ceramics will stay in water, the clay razmoknt stronger, will be cracking and unsuccessful experiments less.
2. Measure distance, necessary for cut, and apply on tile the line of section by means of soft pencil or marker. Besides, use ruler or template for more equal result. Consider that the broken-off part should not be less than 8 mm wide, otherwise the tile will be inevitably damaged. Grind off narrow strip emery stone.
3. To cut off ceramic tile in a straight line, use the normal glass-cutter or mechanical plitkorez. Lay tile on table, check flatness of marking and carry out by the cutting part once, pressing as it is possible stronger. The sharp movement pull down tile on two parts, use for this purpose flat-nose pliers or press level of plitkorez – halves will break up.
4. To saw ceramic tile figurno, use electric plitkorez. Combine tag on tile with the index of plitkorez, bring it to the cutting disk and slowly cut. Try to give ceramics slowly and smoothly, otherwise it will overheat and will crack.
5. Do direct cut at once, and figured in several calling. Towards the line of break carry out several cuts, than more them will be, especially outlines will turn out exact. After lines are ready, cut through contour the glass-cutter and break off each strip from tile.
6. If you have no electric plitkorez, try to saw tile the Bulgarian with special nozzle, for glass and tile. Record ceramics in vice and carefully you saw on the planned contour. Be very accurate as dust and small splinters will scatter quite far.
7. Break out separate small pieces and splinters nippers or flat-nose pliers. After the general contour of tile suits you, process edge abrasive paper or file or grinding nozzle on drill.
