Now it is possible to find lot of various chemical medicines for destruction of caterpillars on cabbage in shops, however skilled the gardener do not hurry to buy up them, they know that there are many folk remedies which perfectly struggle with these insects, at the same time without causing any damage to plants.
Cabbage caterpillars: how to get rid
The cabbage white butterfly and cabbage scoop are the most important enemies of cabbage. They postpone on vegetables of larva which, in turn, having excellent appetite, spoil the most part of harvest. If you have noticed that over cabbage butterflies, white-winged with dark fringing, fly or the small insects externally very similar on moths then be ready to fight against caterpillars. Take onions peel and fill in it with boiled water (on one part of peel two parts of water are required). Wait when water completely cools down, then add to solution of a little liquid soap and spray plants. As for amount of soap, on liter of infusion no more than 15 ml of means are required.
Fill bucket with the crushed tomato leaves and stalks, wormwood, fill in plants with water so that water completely covered them. Leave to infuse per day then process cabbage. It should be noted that infusion will yield much the best result if before processing to add to it a little laundry soap.
In fight against caterpillars also normal soda has perfectly proved. If you have no time for preparation of various solutions and infusions, then just strew cabbage with soda, using sieve. Time processing will occupy a little, and the result will please you.
If you do not wish to use purchased chemical medicines for processing of cabbage, but it is reliable to protect plants from wreckers wish, then just wrap up cabbage lutrasily and well close all slots. At concealment of plants by nonwoven fabric you can be sure that your cabbage will avoid ""acquaintance"" to caterpillars.
