1. Use the current rectifier. The majority of accumulators which are used in cars (starter) are charged by means of the rectifier. If the device multi-purpose, then it is possible to charge the accumulator of any tension. For this purpose on the rectifier there is tension regulator. Values can be in 6, 12, 24 Volts. Also consider the current which will be used at a battery charge. The value in 5, 5 Amperes is usually exposed, however for different accumulators different values can be exposed. After exposure of values connect contacts of the rectifier to terminals. Before charging unscrew battery covers. It is necessary to load from 12 to 14 hours.
2. Load from the car generator. In case of an incomplete discharge of the accumulator installed on the car it is necessary to bring him. If energy of the battery was enough for scrolling of the starter, and the car was started, then now the accumulator will be charged from the generator. It is put in action by a crankshaft pulley by means of a GRM belt. The special relay will direct generator current to a battery charge. If there is a voltmeter, then adjust turns so that the arrow did not go beyond a red zone of the device. It will provide the correct and fastest charge of the battery.
3. Check density of the acid-lead accumulator. For this purpose use the areometer. Check density of each section. After that fill in the distilled water if density too fell in section. It will increase battery density. But after that it is necessary to make charging by means of the rectifier.
4. Do not allow overcooling of the accumulator. It puts it out of commission and degree of a charge considerably goes down. As one of chargings versions of the cold accumulator consists in its warming. Move the battery in the warm room with a temperature slightly above room. Temperature increase will lead to chemical reactions in the accumulator, and it will be able to receive a charge.
