Instruction
1. Draw a triangle. For this purpose take a ruler and carry out by a pencil a piece. Then draw one more piece, beginning from one of the ends of previous. Close a figure, having connected two remained free points of pieces. The triangle turned out. Its center of gravity should be looked for.
2. Take a ruler and measure length of one of the parties. Find the middle of this party and note it a pencil. Carry out a piece from opposite top to the planned point. The turned-out piece is called a median.
3. Start the second party. Measure its length, divide into two equal parts and carry out a median from the top lying opposite.
4. Do the same with the third party. Pay attention that if all of you made correctly, then medians will be crossed in one point. It will also be the center of gravity or as it is called still, the center of mass of a triangle.
5. If you are faced by a task, to find the center of gravity of an equilateral triangle, then carry out height from each top of a figure. For this purpose take a ruler with a right angle and one of the parties, lean against the triangle basis, and direct the second to opposite top. Do the same with other parties. The point of intersection will be the center of gravity. The feature of equilateral triangles is that the same pieces are both medians, and heights, and bisectors.
6. The center of gravity of any triangle divides medians into two pieces. Their ratio makes 2:1 if to look from top. If to place a triangle on a pin in such a way that centrodes it will appear on its edge, then it will not fall, and will be in balance. Also the center of gravity is that point of which all weight placed at triangle tops is the share. Conduct this experiment and make sure that this point with an ulterior motive is called "remarkable".
