Salty herring - simple and tasty snack for all occasions. It can be used as an independent dish and also to add to salads and sandwiches. The recipe of a salty herring in Dutch is useful to each hostess.

Ingredients necessary for preparation of a salty herring:

- 2 herrings (fresh-frozen);

- 1-2 bulbs;

- lemon;

- 5-6 teaspoons of sugar;

- 4-5 teaspoons of salt;

- 10 pieces of bay leaf;

- 1 carrots;

- teaspoon of a black pepper of a coarse grinding.

We cook salty herring in Dutch:

1. For salting it is necessary to take two banks of 0.5 liters.

2. Prepare fish: remove an entrails, cut off fins, wash and cut on medium-sized pieces. It is possible to take only fillet.

3. Carrot wash, clean off a peel and rub largely.

4. Cut a lemon with thin circles together with a peel.

5. Cut onions thinly, half rings.

6. On a bottom of each jar to lay out a few onions, carrots, on 0.5 h a spoon of sugar and salt, bay leaf, a lemon, pepper.

7. Then to put a layer from pieces of fish. Alternate layers, slightly pressing down a hand. Fill both banks thus and close covers.

8. Remove for 2-3 days in the fridge, periodically slightly to stir up banks. In 2.5-3 days, great gentle and spicy herring will be ready-to-serve.
