At phonetic analysis we give characteristic to sound structure of a word. The phonetic analysis can be oral or written, full or partial. When carrying out analysis it is necessary to pronounce surely a word aloud.
Instruction
1. Write a word.
2. Divide a word into syllables and define quantity of syllables.
3. Put an accent mark.
4. Define quantity of vowels and concordants.
5. Write down a full phonetic transcription of a word.
6. Give characteristic to each sound (concordants are divided into ringing or deaf, firm or soft, and vowels are shock and unaccented).
7. Count and write down how many letters and sounds in a word.
8. Let's try to carry out on a concrete example sound alphabetic analysis of a word. So, we will take the floor ""ballerina"".
9. At first carry out oral analysis: - Ballerina; - In a word the ballerina 4 syllables; - The accent falls on the third syllable: ballerina; - In word 4 glasn., 4 sogl; - [bal'irina] - the Letter (be) designated a sound [b] – concordant, ringing, firm; the letter and designated an unaccented sound [a]; the letter of l (ale) designated a consonant [l’] – concordant, ringing, soft; the letter e designated unstressed vowel a sound – [i]; the letter r (Ayr) designated a consonant [r’] – ringing, soft; the letter and [i] designated a stressed vowel a sound [And]; the letter of N (en) designated a sound [n] – concordant, ringing, are firm; the letter and designated unstressed vowel a sound – [a] by $ - In a word the ballerina – 8 sounds, 8 letters.
10. Written analysis becomes so: The ballerina – 4 syllables, 4 glasn., 4 sogl; – [b] – sogl., stars (item), TV. (item); and – [a] – the chapter, bezudar.; l – [l’] – sogl., stars. (not item), myagk.
