What is morphemic analysis

In the course of morphemic analysis of a word the analysis of the morphemes making it is carried out: what morphemes are present at a word as with their help the word is formed. Morphemic analysis allows to understand more deeply structure of this word and related to it words and also to analyze and learn to put into practice word formation mechanisms in Russian.

The morpheme - minimum is indivisible a significant part of a word which serves for formation of new words and forms. Allows to analyze structure and purpose of morphemes as a part of a concrete word morphemic analysis.

Order of morphemic analysis

1. Morphemic analysis is made over that form of a word which is present at the text task. The word is written out without changes, is defined to what part of speech it belongs whether this part of speech is changeable or unchangeable.

2. If a word changeable, the inflection or the termination of a word is defined. To define the termination, it is necessary to change a word (to subject to inducement, conjugation). It is necessary to remember that the termination is a changeable part of a word, non-inflected parts of speech, such as adverbial participle, can have no adverb, some nouns and adjectives and also auxiliary parts of speech, the terminations! 3. The word basis – a part of a word without the termination is defined and allocated. 4. The word root is allocated. To a word cognate (related) words are. It is necessary to remember that roots can be homonymous, and it is necessary to watch closely what value has a word. So, to the word "braid" in "female hairstyle" value it is impossible to specify in quality single-root such words as "mower" and "to mow". In this value cognate words will be "kosonka", "braid" and even "tousle". 5. Other slovoobrazuyushchy and form-building parts of a word are allocated: prefixes (prefixes), suffixes (affixes and postfixes), connecting public (interfiksa). With each of them loss for words formed in the same way is.

Difference of morphemic analysis from analysis of a word on structure

Some sources specify morphemic analysis and analysis of a word on structure as identical. But it not absolutely so. When carrying out these two analyses there is a number of essential differences. - For morphemic analysis the form of a word undertakes without changes, for analysis on structure the initial form of a word is used. For example, for a verb "did" the initial do form.-At word-formation analysis it is specified whether the word is derivative, i.e. formed from another or not, at morphemic analysis of it it is not required. - At word-formation analysis it is necessary to specify a way of formation of a word, but not to be at loss for words formed by means of the same prefixes and suffixes, as in morphemic.

Difference of morphemic analysis from morphological

Sometimes confuse morphemic and morphological analysis. It is a gross blunder. At morphological analysis the word as a part of speech is considered, the grammatical categories peculiar to it are analyzed. At morphemic only the morphemes making a word are exposed to the analysis.
