Irrespective of age children lie. Some begin to do it earlier, others – later. Nervousness of parents about it knows no limit. Some blame themselves, others break on children. But unless such behavior is admissible? How it is possible to punish the kid for it?
Punishment – the main mistake which is made by almost all parents. For a start it is necessary just to sit down and to talk quietly to the child. It is worth understanding the lie reasons. According to many psychologists, the reason of a children's lie is in adults. Unfortunately, not all parents are ready to realize and accept it.
Reasons of a children's lie:
- confidence is in what adults will not understand;
- the kid thus wants to draw attention to himself;
- mistrust to parents;
- the child can lie and therefore that follows an example of the people surrounding it;
- fear to be punished;
- fear to lose privileges (purchase of new phone, tablet and so on);
- children lie because of understanding that their lie is favorable.
In separate group it is worth allocating pretense. (It is one of the most common causes on which children lie). Usually it concerns a disease of the child.
In this case again we come back to above-mentioned points. For example, situation: Masha did not learn lessons for tomorrow and lay to parents that badly feels. It is possible to tell that she made it for several reasons: if she tells the truth, then adults will not understand; then will punish; will deprive of privileges.
It is possible to give examples of the situations connected with a children's lie again and again. The main thing is not to draw in a temper hasty conclusions, and to try to understand position of the child and to let it know that everything is solvable. The problem which the kid faced cannot concern only him. The problem of this character depends on a state of affairs in family.
Most likely, the child caught parents in a lie, but did not tell them about it. Including similar behavior normal. It is necessary to support the child and to show on own example that it is much better to tell the truth, than to dodge and lie. And moreover, the person who got used to lie as a result lies only to himself and he only deceives himself.
