the territory of Ukraine a huge number of the rivers, reservoirs, lakes proceeds. the Ukrainian Baikal - the lake Svityaz is distinguished from them. It is the real pearl of Volhynia. This reservoir is located close the city of Shatsk. In ancient times the lake fascinated by the unearthly beauty, fish resources, clear water. In hot summer day the lake shrouds in the warm waters, giving surrounding everything facet the beauty. That though for several minutes to admire this natural sight there come thousands of tourists not only Ukraine, but also neighboring countries.
About origin of the lake put forward many versions, but we will not go deep into this question, and we will regard Svityaz better in more detail.
The landscape around the lake is represented by sandy hills 2-3 meters high. Here the so-called Tatar mountain of the 35th meter is formed. Depth of the lake is 7 meters. In its waters there is a lot of fish and plants. The lake attracts the crystal-clear water, even small objects are visible at a considerable depth. Most often here come in the winter when water becomes more transparent, than in the summer. This factor clearly demonstrates lack of impurity in water of Svityaz.
In summertime the water temperature is up to 20 degrees. It happens so that this indicator reaches 30 degrees. Annually the lake freezes, becoming covered by a thick ice layer 65 centimeters thick. The perch, a catfish, a crucian, a pike, a pike perch is distinguished from underwater inhabitants.

On the middle of the lake the unusual island of Lovers concentrated. Tourists surely should visit this wonderful place which is considered an original sight of Svityaz, occupying the territory in 7 hectares. The island has saturated vegetation in the form of maples, lindens and even exotic trees. This place is well-known for the evening declines. It is considered that here loving couples meet dawn. Just this island is the main highlight of Svityaz. There come tourists from Europe, America which wants to fill the life with romanticism and a share of an extreme.
