The name "collie" is generalized for a number of shepherd's breeds, but our fellow citizens got used to call so long-haired a collie, or the Scottish sheep-dog. Expression of a muzzle is important point by consideration of value of a specific dog as representative of breed of a collie. Expression is reached thanks to perfect balance and it consists of a combination of a muzzle, a forehead, eyes (their size, color, a form and arrangement), the correct postav of ears. All this has to be combined harmoniously so that there was that the pensive, but at the same time alerted, clever and live expression. It makes a modern collie the greatest representative of all dog sort.
Character and behavior of a collie long-haired
First of all the collie is a shepherd's dog. Its building and behavior has to embody force and activity, to be free from calmness and not to have the slightest trace of roughness.
"Scot" is elegant in everything and ideally corresponds to any temperament of the owner, in no small measure adopting it. So, at the elderly mistress of a collie will be careful on walks, sedately going for the grandmother, accurately bypassing pools and attentively looking at the road. The married couple with playful children acting through a collie will receive the great nurse-shepherd, any child will not be let out from a field of vision. At the same time the collie will be an active participant of the most noisy pobegushka and cheerful actions.
The greatest number of questions in keeping of a collie causes care for hair of a dog in beginners. Time in 1.5-2 weeks is enough to comb out a dog and you will not see any dominance of wool on floors in the house. During the molt periods the dog needs also to be combed out. In general this breed healthy at the correct feeding and normal cultivation with average walking exercise – 1-1.5 hours a day.
