How to find the network address

The network address represents a unique combination of digits on which the computer will be recognized in the local area network or the Internet. If the PC is connected to the Internet via the server or itself acts as the server, then at it these values will differ. For definition of the IP address there are several ways.

Instruction

1. Study terms of service with your provider or visit a personal account on its website. If you are connected to the Internet with the static IP address, then its value should be specified in terms of the contract. In case of the dynamic IP address these parameters can change therefore for definition of the network address it is necessary to use other ways.

2. Click an icon of network in a task bar tray. Select the Control Center of Networks or General Access item. It is possible to be included in this section also through the Start menu - "Control panel". Click on the link "Changes of Parameters of Adapters". Select network connection for which you want to define the IP address. Click the right mouse button its label and select the Status item. Open the Data bookmark. The network address of your computer is in the line "Address IPv4". If your computer acts as the server, then in the line "IPv4 DNS servers" its IP address in the local area network will be specified.

3. Open properties of network connection. Select the section "Internet Protocol of TCP/Pv4" and click "Properties". If at the computer the static network address, then it is specified in the corresponding line.

4. Use services of the special websites for definition of the IP address of the computer. Now there is a lot of resource data. It is enough to enter request "find the network address in the searcher" and select any pleasant link. Remember that the IP address should be given automatically the website without request of passwords, e-mail and other data on you.

5. Come into the console of the command line. For this purpose call the Execute command in the Start menu and specify in it cmd. Click "Open" or the ENTER key. Register the ipconfig command in the opened window and click Enter to receive the current network address of your PC.
