In sport there is the common opinion that houses help walls. By definition, with assistance of the admirers it is simpler to resist to opponents, but there are also return cases when athletes don't maintain psychological pressure from that responsibility that at them appears, and show not that level at all that is waited from them by the fans.
On different continents, internal competitions – the European championship, the Cup of America, the Cup of Asia, the African Cup of Nations and the CONCACAF gold Cup are held. In each of them there were cases when walls ensured to house teams the victory. The majority of such examples, certainly, was on South American the Copa America – the oldest of all listed. More often others at the spectators the honourable trophy was received by football players of Uruguay – 7 times. On one house victory it is less at Argentina. "Magicians of the ball" from Brazil tried to obtain success four times. In Africa the team of Ghana which was twice winning in tournaments in the territory – in 1963 and 1978 has insignificant overweight. In native walls Iran got the Asian cup more often than others, but also only 2 times (other 5 victors have in the asset on one successful performance).
The European continental cohort of the champions who won on home fields – the most modest of all. Only three national teams on time celebrated house success – Spain (1964), Italy (1968) and France with legendary Michel Platini in structure (1984).
The uniting tournaments for all football confederations are the Olympic Games, and since 1930 also the World Cup, first of which, by the way, joined them and became victorious for the receiving national team of Uruguay. The first Olympic Games were also won by organizers of games – football players from Great Britain. They once became also the best on the planet within the FIFA World Cups. Then, in 1966, as a part of the ancestors of the game already legendary Sir Bobbie Charlton who led the team to the victory shone. In general for all history of the Olympic tournaments on soccer two more national teams managed to please the admirers that is called "without departing from cash desk". In 1920 the Belgians won the tournament in Antwerp, and Spanish national team got "gold" of Barcelona. The French in already far 1998 were the last who became the best football national team of the world in the face of own fans. And to them native walls helped Italy, Germany (Germany), Argentina and also the national teams of Uruguay and England called above.
The women's soccer also saw the cases described by us. In 1999 the Americans, are more often than others becoming the strongest on the planet, won the title of world champions in the tournament in the USA that became the only similar phenomenon in own way. Girls from the country of the Star-Spangled Banner became the best and in event of the Olympic Games – in the year of the debut of women's soccer in the program of Summer games in Atlanta.
