Usually process of preparation of candied fruits of orange crusts very long. But such miracle of the equipment as the microwave, allows to accelerate this process many times — in the offered recipe on production of candied fruits no more than half an hour will be required! Such candied fruits will become tasty and quite dietary delicacy and also will be ideal for rich pastries, bread or an Easter cake.

It is required to you

  • — crust of one large orange;
  • — 7-8 tablespoons of granulated sugar;
  • — boiled water.


1. Cut an orange-peel in small cubes about 0.5 x 0.5 cm. Put cubes in a deep heat resisting bowl or a plate.

2. Fill in cubes with a large amount of abrupt boiled water. Sustain 3 minutes, and then cast away on a sieve. Shift cubes back in a plate and again to fill in with boiled water. In 3 minutes once again to cast away on a sieve and again to shift in a plate. It it is necessary to remove bitterness, to wash away a scurf from a surface of crusts and also to slightly soften them.

3. Strew cubes with five tablespoons of granulated sugar, it is good to mix and put in the microwave – at full capacity, for 3 minutes. Then to get from the microwave; if juice was emitted, it is normal. Fill up the remained sugar, mix and put in the microwave now for 5 minutes.

4. Get ready candied fruits, once again carefully to mix, if necessary to fill up still granulated sugar (if not all moisture left). Cool. Candied fruits are ready to use.
