Laminate is one of the most popular floor coverings of modern houses. It is practical, durable and light in contents, and installation of this material does not take a lot of time and efforts. There is set of types of laminate among which it is simple to choose that most of which of all will approach interior of your house.

1. It is very important to choose correctly laminate class depending on purpose of the room in which you are going to use it. There are only 6 classes of this material: "21", "22", "23", "31", "32", "33". The first digit determines view of the room in which laminate will be used (2 – inhabited, 3 – the public room), and the second – admissible intensity of circulation by it.
2. Laminate of the class "21" is suitable for rooms with low intensity of circulation, for example, for the bedroom or the hall of office. It is better to use the class "22" in the living room, the dining or children's room. If you have decided to update floor covering in corridor or kitchen, give preference to the class "23".
3. For small office or the hotel room it is better to choose laminate of the class "31", and for shop or cafe – the class "32". As floor covering in big shopping centers, schools and movie theaters laminate of the class "33" is used, as a rule.
4. When choosing laminate pay special attention it to thickness. It can be 6, 7, 8, 10 or 12 mm. The floor covering is thicker, the higher it sound absorption and shock durability. Besides, installation of laminate 8, 10 and 12 mm thick is carried out much more simply, than 6 or 7 mm.
5. Choosing laminate thickness, consider as well its ratio with room space. Than room space is more, that thickness of floor covering has to be higher.
6. Pay attention when choosing laminate and to amount of the formaldehyde which is present at its structure. It should not exceed admissible norm. If on box with floor covering you see the E1 badge, means everything is all right, and such laminate has passed test according to all European standards.
7. On way of fastening of plates laminate can be assembly or glue. At glue installation of plate connect among themselves to the help of special water-repellent glue. Plates of combined laminate are fastened with each other by snapping of special profile on their edge parties. If necessary the combined floor covering can be sorted and replaced the spoiled part.
8. Choosing laminate, be guided as well by interior of the room in which it will be used. Modern producers bring to attention of buyers the floor coverings imitating tree, tile, stone and also representing various abstract drawings and patterns.
